Thoughts: Acts 6

Delegation within the church is a good thing. It helps for people to work in certain areas where they are strongly gifted so that more people can be served in the many different ways that they need. I am excited about the Volunteer Fair that is going to be held at church soon! I really want to start serving for the place that serves me.
Many will agree that ministry through preaching and music is important to reach the soul, but “material ministry” is important as well. Serving the basic needs of people help to get them to the point where they can start thinking about spiritual things. In order for me to get to the deeper needs of my clients at work, I need to perform “material ministry” first (considering Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs).
When God sends you, there is no need to worry about what anyone tries to do to deter you. God will have His way. What God has set before me to do can not be trumped by anything! He has prepared me for this work and He will work through me to do the work that He desires
